What a difficult experience to go through. I'm sure you all were thinking of your mother on Mother's Day. She sounds like a woman of Faith. I'm sure she is dearly missed.

Oh, my heart goes out to you and your family. I lost my brother to esophageal cancer on August 7,2008 and it still really hurts. Sherry as well as my brother, Mike, are now in the loving arms of our Lord. No more pain and sickness or tears or any of there earthly worries. I bet even though they didn't know each other, they are both singing praises to God. If its not too early for you to hear a song, I will email you the song that gave us so much comfort when Mike went to be with the Lord. Send me an email address and I will get it to you . God bless and hang in there. Soon and very soon we are going to see the King.

Bill,
We are missing her so much here at the hospital. Yesterday was especially difficult. Shirley passed out the Christmas gifts that Sherry had made for her Sonshine sisters and special friends here at work. Sherry asked a co-worker here to make special gifts out of Sherry's jewelry. Sherry asked Shirley to make sure they were distributed to everyone at Christmas.

Oh Bill, what a beautiful and wonderful woman your precious Sherry was. Our emotions were released again, over the love that Sherry had for everyone and how much we loved her and miss her. She was the "best friend" to so many here and I pray that she knew and felt our love for her.

Bill, the Sonshine sisters continue to keep you and your family in our prayers. May our Lord Jesus Christ wrap His arms around you and give you a special peace during this holiday season. The first one without Sherry. May He reassure you all (Bill, Shelly, Lisa, Warren, Devon) that even though Sherry is absent in body, her love remains within each of you. A part of Sherry remains within your hearts and always in your memories.

May there be peace in your hearts.
In His love,
Pat

I miss her too. It's easy to just pretend, but coming here drives the reality home that she no longer exists on this Earth. I still find it surreal that my mother, the life force that she was, could be dead. I almost can't comprehend it. And most of the time, choose not to. I'm so sorry Bill for these hard days. I love you.

Shelly,

I am Sherry's friend and fishing client from Dallas. I fished with Sherry many times on Lake Fork; several times my son joined us. We caught lots of bass and have wonderful memories. I remember the first time meeting Sherry one morning early for breakfast before our fishing trip. She told us stories about giant bass, within two hours I broke off 30 lb test line on a monster bass. She was a great person and a fisher woman. I think of her often and miss her and proud to have known her in my life.

Shelly, we wanted to express our sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your mother. We own "The Fisherman's Guide News" on Lake Fork and your mother was a past feature writer for us. She and Bill were our neighbors for a short while. We just wanted you to know that we put her picture in our November issue.
Sincerely,
Don & Sue Hampton

Shelly,

I know these Holidays will be tough, but I also know your Mom is right beside you every minute and she is answering you everytime you speak. Just like your Mom used to tell me when I would say I sure wish I could hear God when he speaks to me and Sherry would tell me, "you are just not listening, he speaks and we try so hard to hear that we do not hear Him speak". Just listen she is talking to you and at Thanksgiving she will be seated at the head of the table just like every other year. Set her a place she will love it.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you all through the Holidays and my prayers are with you and Devon, they he and you both get to feeling better so as the harmony in your house comes again.
