Hi Sherry,

It seems like ages ago, but Aaron and I were lucky enough to spend 1/2 a day with you on Lake Fork. We were but young pups then, and you were one that helps us feel "at home".

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I had the honor of being one of Sherry's co-workers at HCMH. I too lost my mother at age 62 from Pancreatic Cancer. Shelly, I have walked in your shoes and pray for you and your siblings daily as well as for your mother. To see the once strong, vibrant women leaving slowly before your eyes is the most difficult thing I and you will ever deal with. Remember all the laughing, crying, fights and hugs and kisses you have shared. These all will someday bring a tear with a smile to your face. Life is not always fair and some are taken way too soon. God has his plans and we have to have faith in Him.

Praying daily for Sherry and her family,
Beth Hankins

Sherry,

Knowing you has been a great honor and privilege. I have learned a lot from you. I believe you are one of the strongest people I have known. Your positive attitude and smiling face are what I will remember most about you. I will miss you greatly and remember you always. I wish for you eternal peace and happiness in the arms of God.

Love,
Janie

Sherry,

I am so sad to hear that you are not feeling good. I miss you very much and I think about you all the time. You are such a special friend to me and I just want you to know that I love you and will miss you terribly. I know that you already know how I feel about you, but I just had to say it again.

For Shelly, I sent your mom an email the other day at her ladybass address. Will you please read it to Sherry? I also want Bill to know that if there is anything I can do, please let me know. It would be an honor and a privilege to help in any way I can. My phone numbers are included in the email.

I love you Sherry and you are such a wonderful and kind person. You have made my life richer just knowing you and having a friend like you.

Shelly,

Please tell your mom that I love her. She is my special friend. I have missed her very much and will remember her always. Sherry knows how much I love her but please let her know that I am praying for her and will miss her always. Please read her the email I sent her at her personal ladybass address. Also, please tell Bill that if I can be of any help, please let me know. My phone numbers are included in the email I sent.

Hi Sherry, It's been a long time since I have spoken with you and you might not even remember me. I just wanted to drop you a line and say hello and give you some support during your time of need. You probably don't even remember meeting me at the Rally@Fork back in 1999 but I remember it very well and the advice that you gave me about guiding. You are an inspiration to me and all the anglers that you have come in contact with through the years. The fishing community on both the BFHP and the TFF are praying very hard for you!! God Bless you and your family.

Respectfully,

Mike Bucca

Shelly,

I just realized I left Lisa out of my previous post. Please change it to read "She loves you, Lisa and Warren. (If you can.) She talked about both of you girls and Warren so much and I told her about my two sons, Phillip and Paul. We spent a lot of time wishing we had done this or that or been better Moms. I know she is just the best Mom, because she loves her three children and grandson so very much!! She loves Bill so very much and I am so glad they were able to go to Alaska before she became ill. Please know that we (her Bible study sisters) love her dearly and keep her in our prayers.

Shelly,

I am your mother’s friend, Pat Poarch and I work with Sherry. I have been faithfully reading this website for awhile now, hoping you would write something. We love Sherry so much and this is so hard to understand. She is such a wonderful Christian woman, devoted mother and loving wife. She loves you, Shelly and Warren so very much and I can’t even begin to tell you how proud she is of Devon. Sherry is my best friend and I miss her so much. I don’t want her to suffer but I don’t want her to go either. I need my friend here at work and I know that she can’t come back. She is my prayer partner, she is my closest friend and I love her.
